Event Details

Dan Davids, President of Plug In America, the nation's preeminent nonprofit electric vehicle advocacy group will be making the presentation.  Dan is an experienced EV driver & nationally recognized EV infrastructure consultant.  This presentation explores what works and what doesn't in the deployment of charging stations for homes, businesses & communities.  Every potential EV charging site is unique & there is no one-size-fits-all answer to creating a successful installation. Armed with technical, planning, & real world data, you'll learn the fundamentals of driver needs & behavior, site analysis, codes and approvals, signage, and more.

Dan brings his multidisciplinary background in aviation, oceanography, software design, green building & management to bear in the effort to reduce our nation's dependence on foreign oil, clean our environment, & promote innovative technologies to improve the human condition. He’s been driving an all‐electric car for over four years in Seattle and has never once run out of charge, despite having no available public charging infrastructure in Puget Sound.
